Open Canopy Habitat Types

Grassland Photo: Discovery Park Unmown grass, fields, or meadows.
Shrub Savannah Photo: Discovery Park 10-25% shrubs. Areas with a few shrubs scattered over unmown grass.
Sparsely Vegetated Photo: Discovery Park Generally areas of landslide outfall or recently graded areas that have not revegetated. Uncommon.
Tree Savannah Photo: Discovery Park 10-25% tree canopy. A few trees scattered over an understory of unmown grass, shrubs or both.
Shrubland Photo: Discovery Park Areas with greater than 25% shrubs in the upper canopy.
